PLAID LOOK HEAD TO TOE

I’M WEARING  >>  Scarf: JW Anderson for Uniqlo  |  Skirt: Uniqlo  |  Boots: Bronx Shoes  |  Bag: Proenza Schouler  |  Sweater: Uniqlo

I will use any excuse to wear plaid, luckily the Autumn is THE PERFECT season to wear it. I have this Uniqlo skirt since last year and recently got this scarf while in London for the JW Anderson x Uniqlo launch. As I was walking out of my apartment and down the stairs, I remember I had that scarf hanging by the entrance and felt the risk to get back inside, grab the scarf, a nylon belt and create a poncho “Head to Toe” Plaid look situation.

I didn’t regret my decision ;)

10 KNITWEAR STYLES TO SPICE UP YOUR AUTUMN LOOKS

1. Miu Miu  |  2. Balenciaga  |   3. Haider Ackermaan  |  4. Tibi  |  5. Chloe  |  6. Off White  |  7. Isabel Marant  |  8. Victoria Beckham  |  9. Monki  |  10. ZARA

The season for layering is upon us and even though I do miss wearing my summer dresses, there is a certain coziness in the air that comes with the leaves falling and the temperature dropping. I always complain about the changing seasons because I hate transitioning, yet I think my strongest styling season is definitely The Autumn.

I searched the web for some of the knitwear trends hitting high and low, but even though some of these sweaters are on the pricey side, it’s always good to have them as reference for trends.

The high-street is packed with really great knitwear trends and it always comes down to how you style them and adapt them. At the moment, I have been wearing a lot of wide legged jeans and sartorial trousers with my knitwear. Pair them with the Chinky Boot Trend and you are all set!

I posted a lot of Knitwear options on SIWI, so make sure you go and vote for your favourites over there and don’t forget that you can also find links to all the products on SIWI directly!

COMFORTABLE BUT MAKE IT FASHION

I’M WEARING  >>  Blazer: H&M  |  Sweater: Uniqlo  |  Knitted Pants: ZARA (similar here)  |  Bag: Gucci

I posted this look on my stories a couple of days ago and I got SO MANY questions about these pants. I actually got them like 4 years ago at the ZARA @ Hong Kong’s Airport and they only had an XL left so even though they were enormous, I took them with me. Turns out, they are the PERFECT travel pants and I usually wear them only for long flights. The other day, I found them folded in the closet and I decided to style them up. I wasn’t expecting to get so many reactions about them so I decided to do a post for you.

I saw that ZARA has a bunch of knitwear pants in the store at the moment so you can definitely recreate the look. The blazer is from the H&M’s men’s department and I grabbed it two sizes larger as per usual.

CHUNKY FALL KNITS – SHOPPING LIST

It’s fall in the city and all I can think is cozy sweaters and chunky knits. It’s the perfect fall piece to keep you warm outside and indoors. Love pairing them so much because it’s so fun to style different colors and prints and they always add so much texture to an outfit. I’ve been looking for sweaters all over and my favorite and best bet is to get a chunky men’s sweater. They always have the most effortless shape not to mention usually the best sweaters are unisex and vintage looking, and most cool vintage sweaters are men’s. Since I wanted to give you guys some options I looked online and found the ones below all from asos! The one I’m wearing is asos men’s too but it sold out super quick, but these options are as good as, if not better, and they are almost all on sale and super affordable. I might get a few of those too lol because I have a slight addiction to cute chunky knits. Shop my favorite sweaters below:

BACK ON THAT WAIST BELT TREND

I’M WEARING  >>  BLAZER: IRO Paris  |  Jeans: Uniqlo  |  Boots: ZARA  |  Sweater: Uniqlo  |  Belt: ZARA

I have an entire drawer full of belts and more specifically “waist belts”. Since the trend is always coming and going, I have hold on to every single one of them “Just in case”. This one is not one of my oldies, but rather a new addition to my belt drawer. This chain belt is a statement on itself and ties up my usual “go to” outfit quite nicely.

It was quite a wild ride finding it though, since it appeared as Coming Soon on the ZARA website for days, then full on disappeared and my absolute chance, I managed to find one (the last one) at the Amsterdam store, so I guess it was meant to be ;)

HIGH vs LOW

Lately you have been asking me to help you find alternatives to be able to translate the trends without breaking the bank, therefore let me introduce you a new type of post on StyleScrapbook ; HIGH vs LOW.

Besides StyleScrapbook, we have created a board on the SIWI App to share all out HIGH vs LOW finds and I am super curious to gear your feedback on which items you will actually prefer between the designer items of the more affordable options without telling you which one is which at first glance.

If you haven’t downloaded SIWI, click HERE to find on both iOS & Android. By the way, SIWI is FREE, so no sneaky costs are attached while downloading our app. Enjoy, get swiping and let us know which one you prefer! :)

STYLING CHALLENGE; 4 WAYS TO WEAR THE CHUNKY BOOT TREND

I promised to put together post styling the “Chunky Boot Trend” in 4 different ways, although I am SURE you will see me wear it in many other ways on my Instagram account. The first question I got asked was: How do you make them look less “masculine”? Sure, these boots are not the most feminine thing you will wear, but there are ways to make them work. I suggest you to try them out with skirts and girly dresses, as they can rough them up a little bit more. I am not really into super girly looks, so these boots are perfect to add an edge to girly dresses ( pic 1 ). These 4 looks are mostly a girly take on the trend and to show you how to style these with skirts and dresses. I will try to make a post styling them with pants instead, that’s were the real challenge starts!

Are you brave enough to try this trend? If you are, let me see your looks and add the #AndyStylingChallenge hashtag on your pic so I can see them :). In the meantime, head over to SIWI and vote for your favourite look! I am really interested to know which one gets the most votes!
