Like many of you, I’ve been wearing tons of loungewear this year. But just because we have a need to be comfy while working from home, doesn’t mean we can’t dress up a bit from time to time, am I right?
My favorite way to dress up a lounge pant is with a turtleneck and pointed toe flats. Add a pair of earrings and pop of color lipstick and I’m ready to take this look on a zoom call!
I prefer a wide leg pull on pant because it feels like pajamas but looks like a sleek office trouser if you find the right fabric. Linking some of my favorite lounge pants below:
I DIY’ed this dress back in August, but I only filmed the video and never shot photos to show you the dress in its full glory.
This RUNWAY-MYWAY and DIY was inspired on the Danish brand Rotate and even though the original is made of velvet, I think MYWAY was also very cool indeed.
You can watch the full DIY video on my IGTV here. I really hope you like it!
I have been wanting to DIY this cardigan FOR MONTHS! However, I found it hard to find the perfect cardigan to add the collar to, until I sighted this blue cardigan at a vintage shop in Amsterdam.
I didn’t have a pattern for the collar, so I had to create something very bespoke to fit my cardigan specifically. I reckon coming up with the pattern was what took me the longest and I hope I explained it well enough in the video. Keep in mind though that I pretty much yolo’ed it as I haven’t made a lot of patterns before, however, I am VERY happy with the result!
As someone who wears lots of jeans and leggings, especially over the past few months while spending so much time at home, I’m excited to see the faux leather trend become a staple for fall. Not only are faux leather leggings and pants a great, elevated alternative to basic leggings and denim, but they’re surprisingly wearable, as they dress up and down quite easily and work for various occasions!
I found this version at Walmart, and they’re quickly becoming my favorite pant. They’ve got tons of stretch which makes them ultra comfortable, and they’re extremely versatile too! I was honestly shocked at the super affordable price tag for this fabric quality and craftsmanship. In fact, I was so happy with the legging that I bought this pant as well, and love them just as much, since they function as a pant, but are just as comfy as a legging.
Paired with a heart print sweater, denim jacket and sneakers like I’ve done here, faux leather leggings are a great go-to for casual days. I threw this look together for a quick trip to the grocery store and love how it came together. The casual texture of the denim, sweater knit and white sneakers dress the leather down in a way that still feels polished but practical for running errands. For another casually comfy option, you can pair them with a tee and cardigan, like this. I’ll definitely be wearing these faux leather jeans for date nights paired with peplum sweaters and booties in the coming months!
Happy Monday guys! Hope you had an amazing weekend. Mine was quite relaxing and we spent Sunday at the Museum and binge watched a scary series all evening. It’s The Autumn and Halloween + Dia de los Muertos is around the corner, so I always feel like watching scary movies during the month of October.
But enough with the weekend talk, let’s talk Fashion shall we?
I recently got this Velvet Pinko dress and I am here for it. I absolutely love velvet during the Fall, which makes total sense since it’s such a cozy fabric, but there is also such an elegance to it.
Because this year has been pretty much a semi write off because of Covid, there are not many places nor parties to go to. I am still trying to get dressed up every now and then to keep my sanity though -believe me, I would wear sweatpants every day this year if I could, but it doesn’t help my mindset I’ve come to realise-.
This dress is a total statement on its own, so for the first look I only styled it with statement combat boots (so I didn’t make it too girly) and a contrasting color velvet bag.
DRESSED DOWN
For the second look, I wanted to make it more casual and cozy, so I threw on an oversized camel sweater (vintage), kept the same boots and added a beret to match the sweater.
Work from home or working out from home both calls for an outfit for itself. No I’m not referring to shopping online, but I still mean an athleisure look that becomes one of the reasons to not skip workout. After all, what you wear is how you feel right? If you’re a newbie to working […]
When it comes to an outer layer that’s easy to throw on and go, the cardigan is at the very top of my list. Whether layered over jeans and a tee, a dress, skirt and turtleneck or leggings and a tunic (my personal fave as of late!), a cardigan can pull your look together with ease and very little effort, which is certainly something I appreciate when polishing off an outfit.
Here are a few of my favorite open-front styles to wear over the outfits mentioned above:
2020 is the year of addressing many of the rising issues; we’re all making more conscious decisions, reflecting on our well being, mental health, and even acknowledging issues like global warming. Spending months locked down at home was challenging but on the brighter side it gave us the time to sit down and reflect. Just […]
Today’s #StyleHasNoSize features me and my little sister, Jazmen, wearing some of our fall favorites.
Remember, these posts aren’t meant to focus on who wore it best – it’s my attempt to inspire you to wear what you love and feel amazing in, regardless of height, weight, shape or size!
Here is the video I posted on instagram, and images of each look are below.
