These are the Best Curvy Fit Jeans under $25

These are the Best Curvy Fit Jeans under $25 | Girl With Curves

While I love skirts and dresses, a cute top and jeans will forever be my go-to outfit. And when I come across a great pair of jeans that checks all the boxes, I’m inclined to share them with you all!

These high-waist skinnies are a latest find from Sofia Jeans by Sofia Vergara, hands down my favorite brand at Walmart. At under $25, they’re an absolute steal! Not only do they fit amazing, but the fabric has just the right amount of stretch and structure, which does wonders to define the waist and show off hips and curves no matter your shape or size, while smoothing out the tummy area as well! The wash I’m wearing is one of four in this style, including this dark wash I also own and love.

This bodysuit, also from the Sofia Jeans collection, has been on repeat this season in both this color and the black one I picked up last month. Both pieces are available in size 00/XS – 22/3X.

5 SUMMER OUTFITS WEARING MAXI SKIRTS

MONDAY.

Leopard maxi and a black top, a classic. I was wearing a super short tank and a lace bralette underneath if you can tell. always pair leopard and black or a neutral! It never gets old. Sometimes I would go for a dark burgundy too. This vintage maxi is a bit loose on the bottom but is high waisted, so its not the typical leopard slip skirt that we see everywhere (it has more of a boho vibe). I think I bought it 5 years ago? I paired it with some doc sandals to go run errands that day.

TUESDAY.

Got this vintage green maxi and it was love at first sight. I love love the shade! I had to go for a strapless because I wanted this particular silhouette. I think its cute with a high bun and some vintage shades. I was wearing some oxford docs and socks to add a more high school vibe lol, rather than keeping it too boho. Just needed a brown messenger bag and I would’ve gone to a literature class (did you know I studied literature? im not a poser haha). This day was particularly too hot so this outfit was perfect for 100 degree weather.

WEDNESDAY.

Oh my god I forgot how much I loved layering lace! I paired this blue vintage maxi with some lace and tied it up on the waist. The fabric of the skirt is a bit slinky (not a fan) and the silhouette is more tight but I still love it because of the shade and of the side slit. Love how the boot shows when you walk. I don’t normally pair my maxis with white but the black rosary and black boots def adds a black touch to the outfit so it kinda worked out for me.

THURSDAY.

Simple and super comfy. This is literally the comfiest shit ever guys I swear!! Whenever I don’t know what to wear and wanna run errands and be comfy, I throw on my biggest dress and put a belt on it. It just works. Since the dress is very baggy even on the shoulders and armholes I wore a tight baby tee underneath to add an illusion of tightness to the whole outfit if that makes sense. In winter I might wear it with turtlenecks and a biker jacket and even heels 🙂

FRIEDAY.

This could easily be my favorite of them all. I bought this skirt out of being impulsive. I literally just saw it and was already paying on the cashier and added it to my cart. Honestly best decision ever. I had no idea it would fit so perfectly. Its actually very stiff but it fits so it works lol. Since its super long I thought a baby tee would be cute for a 90s vibe and some docs. I know I said I dont wear maxis with white but I might be changing guys. Didn’t think it would look good but since the print is a bit brown it doesn’t look too matchy matchy, it just looks like I just threw an old white tee on?

Anyways hope you guys enjoyed this post!!! will do more of these soon!

Addressing the Weight Loss Questions

Addressing the Weight Loss Questions | Girl With Curves

Last week on Instagram, I shared a bit about my recent self-care journey I had embarked on. What prompted the share, were the many, many questions I’ve been getting recently about weight loss.

For me, self-care is the most important thing you can do for yourself, especially during times of uncertainty and unrest, because that’s when your mind and body need it most.

Back in March during shelter-in-place due to COVID-19, I was juggling work, homeschooling my son through his final weeks of Kindergarten while caring for his 2 yr old sister, household chores and meal-prep, when I burst into tears one day. It was only 1 pm, but I was tired, burnt out and stressed, both mentally and physically. I was unhappy, uninspired, anxious and depressed. I felt stuck in the same routine of hustling on autopilot to the point of burn out for years, but everything finally came crashing down that day. I realized I had LOST MYSELF.

I made a list of all the things I wanted to change, the things I wanted back… so many simple things I had somehow lost along the way of becoming a wife, running a business, becoming a mom…

I decided I was going to start prioritizing self-care. I wanted to FEEL good, from the inside out. I wanted to sleep better, and finally tackle the stress and anxiety I was convinced my body had manifested in the form of constant migraines, back, neck and sciatic pain.

Through lots of research, patience, time and practice, daily self-care became habit, and it felt so good! Today I’m still practicing those same self-care habits I can’t wait to share with all of you (including fueling my body with nutrients I never even knew existed), and I feel great knowing I’m doing everything in my power to nurture my mind and body the way they deserve. And when I’m taking care of myself properly, weight loss just happens to be a side-effect.

The moral of the story: Take care of yourself. Whatever that means for you, start today and don’t ever stop — there’s nothing better than FEELING good from the inside out!

How to lose weight post quarantine period

In the last few months, our life-style has been changed absolutely. More or less everybody is affected by this pandemic. During the long quarantine period, your daily routine got hampered. You had to manage your office hours with work-from-home, online classes of the child, and yes off course, all the house-hold works. Not only have […]

This $29 Dress is Flattering on all Shapes and Sizes

This $29 Dress is Flattering on all Shapes and Sizes | Girl With Curves

While I’m never one to strictly purchase something based on it being flattering on my body, once in a while something comes along that’s not only gorgeous, but it’s undeniably flattering as well, which usually means I have a hard time choosing just one color! Luckily, this gorgeous midi dress comes in two different color ways, and it’s under $30!

As recently mentioned, I’ve been really impressed with Walmart this year. Month after month, they continue to deliver amazing options that are easy on my wallet, and I can’t get enough! This dress is from Sofia Vergara’s Sofia Jeans collection – easily my all time favorite Walmart fashion brand for denim, everyday tops and now dresses. From the pretty ruffle details, to the quality, easy-breezy fabric and adjustable drawstring in the waist that gives you an almost custom fit (which by the way is what makes this dress ultra flattering on all shapes and sizes!), and bonus: no strapless bra required because the ruffles are wide enough to cover your straps, this dress is definitely a must-have in my book. Best of all, the print is unique enough to catch your eye, but classic enough to withstand trends, and it’s available in size XS-3X.

How I’m Styling Shorts for Summer

How I'm Styling Shorts for Summer | Girl With Curves

I don’t wear shorts often, but sometimes the weather just calls for them! I’ve always loved the look of a duster, shirtdress or kimono in a lightweight fabric layered over a pair of high-waisted shorts on a hot day. I love the security of having a long outer-layer on top of shorts and a tank, just in case I want a bit more coverage for running errands or whatever else the day brings.

Here’s how I’m styling shorts for summer, as well as some of my favorite styles:
