Back in July, I shared how I finally started taking care of myself the way my mind and body deserve. As a result, I’m less stressed, less anxious, sleeping better, eating healthier than ever, my aches and pains are gone, and I’ve even lost some weight.
Here are the specific things I’ve changed in order to prioritize self-care in my daily life:
While we all have related fashion with a fast and changing world but who knew this drastic change could bring even that at pause? Sad part? You are never going to see that fast and vibrant fashion again. Good part? The fashion industry is going to change for good. Slowly fashion and beauty industries are […]
Lockdown has changed everyone’s life. Starting from losing jobs one after another to breaking down emotionally and mentally, we have all been there. However, while we go through these “break-ups” we have to keep our minds sane enough and start spending economically. Except grocery stores booming -no matter what, other businesses have gone down tremendously. […]
Earlier this Summer, my friend Alejandro Loar -who’s also an amazing lifestyle and wedding photographer- asked me if we wanted to do our engagement shoot while the city was still relatively quiet and empty.
As most of you know, I got engaged on the 20th of January, just before the world went upside down with the pandemic, so straight after that we went into quarantine and it was a really tough time for all of us around the world.
Doing this engagement shoot was that ray of sunshine in the middle of so much chaos and I am SO HAPPY with the result. Beyond that, I just cannot wait for out wedding next year!
Welcome to Splurge-Save; a space within Stylescrapbook where we scout the web for some of the best looks and their alternatives, so as the name suggest, you can decide whether you want to Splurge or Save ;)
Some of you might know The Frankie Shop for popularising the shoulder pad muscle tee since last Summer, but they recently added the “Winter version” with their jogger sets. What I love about these joggers sets and what sets them apart from me are obviously the almightily shoulder pads. I recently came across the new H&M Blank Staples collection for Men and it resembled a lot to the white version of TFS jogger suit.
Immediately my lightbulb went on and I decided to DIY my own version of the Frankie Shop jogger set with the H&M Men version, all I needed extra was a pair of shoulder pads, a needle and thread.
I just absolutely love the end result and to be honest, I think they look almost identical. You can of course still Splurge on The Frankie Shop set, however, if you want to Save, the H&M Blank Staples collection for men is the way to go.
I am quite tall so I took a Pants size M because I needed them to be long enough and I wanted a slightly baggy look. If you are a shorter than me, perhaps S or even XS (depending on your usual sizing) would do the trick. For the sweatshirt, I went for a size XS and bought a pair of shoulder pads to add that little pow wow into the shoulders.
It’s been a while since we stepped out to just hang out with friends, had a girls night or even dressed in our smart formals for office. Events and occasions are currently at its bare minimum, that said opportunities to dress up has also downsized. Sure, cafes and restaurants have opened doors but it’s not […]
It wont come as a surprise that I am deeply inspired by menswear (e.g. here and here and endless amounts of posts), so it has always been in the back of my mind to add that ingredient into StyleScrapbook as well.I know that I have a few male fashion enthusiasts following me as well but not only that, I also know that a lot of you are very inspired by menswear too, so I decided to incorporate Menswear posts every now and then.
I must have been living under a rock but I just recently discovered the LA brand “Fear of God“, while browsing Vogue Runway. I was so triggered and inspired by most of the looks on Lorenzo’s latest collection, that I just really wanted to share. These looks are the perfect mix between impeccable tailoring and chic athleisure, the color palette is absolutely perfect for transitioning into fall and most of these looks would work on women as well.
Red carpet moments have been a rate sight ever since the start of this pandemic in 2020. The year we witnessed Fashion shows going virtual and many global events being cancelled. Sure, we miss the glitz and glam of good old fashion weeks and red carpet snaps, but that isn’t any reason to let go […]
Hello everyone! After much consideration, I decided to bring back the RUNWAY-MYWAY posts because they are just freaking awesome.
In RUNWAY-MYWAY, I will share with you how to translate the runway trends with more affordable brands, or simply with things hanging in your closet that might require a little DIY.
We DIY’ed this Chanel shirt last Wednesday (you can check the video HERE), and here is the full look!…Hope you like and and find the breakdown of all the items worn below.
I love an easy outfit combination this time of year, especially when the weather can’t make up its mind! From crisp, cool mornings to warm afternoons, this look keeps me comfortable, stylish and ready to take on the day. It also happens to be made up of some recent Walmart finds I’ve been wearing non-stop.
I truly appreciate wardrobe essentials like these, specifically on days I don’t have time to think about my outfit. From the comfy-chic waterfall detail cardigan, to the long sleeve tee, fashionable grey jeans, oversize tote and sandals, this is a look I repeat often, because it’s put together yet practical. Whether I’m spending the day behind my computer, out and about running errands or relaxing on the couch, an outfit like this never fails to keep me cozy, cute and ready for anything! Best of all, everything is really budget-friendly and the quality of each piece is quite impressive for the under $30 price-points.
What I also love about pieces such as these is how versatile they are! I love the cardigan and tee paired with leggings for a more dressed down look, and the jeans and tee look great paired with a denim jacket and sneakers. When it comes to classic wardrobe staples like these, the outfit pairings are almost endless!

We are starting with a BANG! The DIY’s are back baby!!!
Bringing back the DIY’s has been one of the most requested things of the past decade and it only took a pandemic and a burnout to get me there, but hey, coming back full circle has showed me what I actually truly enjoy doing; CONTENT WITH PURPOSE.
I hope you enjoy this DIY and stay tuned for more. Please feel free to request DIY’s, what do you want me to recreate? what do you want to learn to make? I’m reading you!
Today’s #StyleHasNoSize features me and my little sister, Jazmen. We own so many of the same exact clothing, shoes and accessories, I thought it would be fun to show how great two different sizes can look in the same outfits.
Remember, these posts aren’t meant to focus on who wore it best – it’s my attempt to inspire you to wear what you love and feel amazing in, regardless of height, weight, shape or size!
Here is the video I posted on instagram, and images of each look are below.
